COMMON QUESTIONS:
Can I see a full wedding gallery?
Heck ya-- I'll be sure to send over some full galleries when you inquire!
Where are you based?
I call Austin home and spend a lot of time on the west coast, but you can bet I am down to photograph your wedding anywhere in the world!
How to book:
To secure your date all you need is a signed contract and a paid non-refundable retainer of 50% of your package total. The remaining balance is due 21 days before your wedding day. Payments can be made by check or bank transfer.
What is Zelle?
It's basically Venmo, but through your banking app! Find Zelle in the mobile banking app of our partners. If you already have your banking app on your phone, there's no download necessary. If your bank or credit union doesn't offer Zelle yet, just download the Zelle app to get started.
Engagement sessions:
Engagement sessions are available Monday-Wednesday and begin 1.5 hours prior to sunset.
Can we have all of the photos you take including the raw, unedited images?
I promise to deliver a beautiful set of carefully curated and edited images from your wedding. If there’s a special moment that doesn’t make the cut technically, I always choose to include that memory so that your story is fully told. For an 8 hour wedding you can expect 500+ photos depending on the size of your wedding, amount of details, number of formal family photos, etc.
Coverage:
Hours are continuous and can not be split up. The most popular coverage time is 8 hours, but extra coverage may be added for an additional cost.
Image backup:
As soon as I get home I back everything up in at least two locations and I always keep the images on my memory cards until delivery. I also always carry backup gear to your wedding. Speaking of gear, i'm a Canon gal incase you were wondering. (but you probably weren't)
Travel:
I love to travel! 90 miles roundtrip from 78758 is included, after that there will be a small travel fee for other Texas locations.
There is a flat rate travel fee of $750 for stateside weddings and $1,500 for international weddings.
*There are no travel fees for WA, OR or CA weddings in June, July, or August.
What is a first look?
I'm real glad you asked. A first look is a private moment between you and your bride/groom (and me of course!) before the ceremony. That's right-- the first time you see each other on your wedding day doesn't have to be when one of you walks down the aisle. There are 500 good reasons to do a first look, but i'll give you two.
1. Time- the time you get with each other on your wedding day is practically doubled when you do a first look. You are marrying your absolute best friend, so why would you want to spend all that time before the wedding away from them? Plus if you do a first look you won't have to share them with all of your guests until after the ceremony. Once the ceremony happens the rest of your wedding goes by with lightening speed. Seriously. Blink and it's over.
2. Photos- first looks are a lifesaver when it comes to a photography timeline. Instead of spending 1.5 hours after your ceremony taking alllll of those formal wedding party and family photos, opt for a first look and get 90% of that done before the ceremony! And the best part-- more time for photos of just you and your love. The only photos left post-ceremony are those larger family groupings which means that you can get to partying with your guests sooner. I'll just be sure to steal you away for about 20 minutes of sunset photos. Golden hour is the best hour, trust me!
Second shooter:
Although I am completely capable of photographing weddings on my own, a second shooter is there to capture moments and details needed when my attention is on you. Having another perspective of the day helps to tell your full wedding story. For example, while we are taking your family photos post-ceremony the second photographer can be capturing your guests at happy hour! (I meant cocktail hour, but typed happy hour so I'm going to leave that in there because LOL). If your wedding will be 100+ guests and/or you are not planning on doing a first look then a second photographer is recommended.
Shot lists:
I have photographed a lot of weddings so the list I use is more of a mental checklist. The only lists I work from are ones made by the bride and groom for family photos.
Why do I have to pay taxes?
“It’s never too early to learn that the government is a greedy piglet that suckles on the taxpayer's teet until they have sore, chapped nipples." - Ron Swanson
